Register button + rewards screen
Custom Menu on the sale tab, signature-verified, opens with the live sale context.
Feature
R-Series will open a web page from the register and hand it the sale it's sitting on. That's the hook the older loyalty vendors use to get onto the POS, and it's the one we built against: a Rewards button on the sale tab that knows which ticket, which store, and usually which customer, before anyone types anything.
Available Included in the platform — no per-register fee, no add-on line.
01 — What you get
The older loyalty vendors get onto a Lightspeed counter by parking a customer-facing tablet next to it. That works, and it also means a second screen, a second power cable, and a member record that only updates if someone remembers to use it. R-Series can open a web page straight from the sale tab and hand it the ticket it is sitting on, so the rewards screen is a button on the POS your staff already use.
Because the sale context arrives with the request, the screen already knows which ticket, which store, and usually which customer — so the common case is one tap to apply a reward, with nothing typed. If the sale has no customer attached, it falls back to whoever checked in at that store in the last ten minutes, then to a phone-number lookup.
If you would rather see a POS integration that has been running real traffic for years before you commit, that is Shopify and Shopify POS — and the loyalty engine underneath is identical either way.

Find or create the member at the register; reward maps to your own Lightspeed discount.
Each reward maps to a discount you already defined, so your Lightspeed reporting stays intact.
02 — How it works
03 — In practice
A loyalty program doesn't wait on a POS integration to be worth running. The counter kiosk captures the visit and the SMS consent whether or not the register knows anything about it, the points engine and rewards catalog are yours to configure, and campaigns go out with carrier registration filed for you. Staff can look a member up and redeem from the portal on any device on the counter. The Lightspeed button removes a step; it isn't the program.
If you run several Lightspeed shops, each shop id maps to one of your stores, so visits roll up per location and per-store texting can't double-send to the people who shop at two of them. Unmapped shop ids show up in the portal to be pointed at the right store rather than silently landing nowhere.
Weighing vendors? The TapMango write-up is the deepest one on this site — that's the platform the founding store actually ran — and the integrations page lists every integration across Shopify, Clover, and Lightspeed. Pricing is the same whichever register you run: $200/mo, 5,000 texts included, 2¢/text after, $500 one-time setup and migration, no contract. Lightspeed is not an add-on line.
04 — Questions
Yes. The button, the signature check, member lookup, enrollment, and the reward-to-discount mapping are all built, tested and deployed, and Lightspeed is included in the platform at no extra cost. It is also our newest POS integration, so we set it up with you rather than handing you a doc: we connect your account, map your rewards to your existing Lightspeed discounts, and run it on one register before it goes on the rest. Most stores are live on it the same week.
One Custom Menu. In Lightspeed settings you add a Custom Menu on the Register sale tab, set it to open a web page, and point it at your rewards URL on your own subdomain. No plugin install, no app store approval, no change to how you take payments.
Yours. In setup you map each reward to one of your existing Lightspeed discounts, so the sale, the receipt, and your reporting all use the discount you already reconcile against. A fixed-amount reward with no mapping falls back to a negative sale line. Anything we cannot apply cleanly comes back as not applied, and the screen tells staff to key it manually instead of claiming success.
Lightspeed signs the link it opens, and that signature is the credential. We verify it against Lightspeed's published keys and fail closed if it does not check out, then trade it once for a short-lived session so the same link cannot be replayed later from somewhere else.
05 — Next step
Twenty minutes: the rewards screen on a real sale tab, how your existing discounts get mapped, and what switching your loyalty over actually involves.
