TapMango Alternatives in 2026: Real Pricing and What Switchers Should Check

TapMango doesn't publish pricing — merchants report roughly $239–$400 per month per location. Here's what it actually costs, the complaints to check before signing, and how the alternatives compare for brick-and-mortar stores.

TapMango is one of the best-known loyalty platforms for brick-and-mortar stores — and one of the least transparent about what it costs. The pricing page ends in a sales call. This post collects what merchants actually report paying, the complaint patterns worth checking in public reviews before you sign, and how the alternatives stack up depending on what kind of store you run. We compete with TapMango, so read us with that in mind — every factual claim below is attributed to public sources you can check yourself.

What TapMango actually costs

TapMango doesn't publish pricing. Third-party trackers and merchant reports converge on roughly $239 to $400 per month per location, quote-dependent, typically with hardware and onboarding on top. (Some directories list a "$79/mo starting" figure that doesn't match merchant reports — treat directory numbers skeptically in both directions.) If you're quoted, get the all-in monthly for your location count in writing, including SMS volume, hardware, and any gift-card processing.

What reviewers say to check before signing

Public reviews on Capterra and Software Advice include recurring themes worth verifying against your own contract: merchants describing pricing that changed after signup, integrations that turned out shallower than pitched, a gift-card feature that required an account with a separate third-party company reviewers said was not disclosed during the sales process, and friction leaving the contract. TapMango disputes some of these characterizations in public responses. None of that means it will happen to you — it means: get the exit terms, the total price, and every third-party dependency in writing before you sign.

The questions that sort every alternative

  • Is pricing published, and does it change when my list grows?
  • Who files my A2P 10DLC carrier registration — me or them — and who fixes it when it's rejected?
  • What runs at my counter, on whose hardware, in whose branding?
  • If I leave, do I get my members, balances, and consent records?
  • Is there a contract, and what does month 13 cost?

The alternatives, honestly sorted

If you're ecommerce-first: Smile.io or LoyaltyLion

Both are Shopify-native and good at online points. Smile publishes pricing (free to $999/mo, metered by monthly orders); LoyaltyLion starts around $199/mo on order-based tiers. Neither has SMS as a native channel, a check-in kiosk, or any real in-store presence — if most of your revenue walks through a door, they're solving a different problem.

If you want cheap and simple: Loopy Loyalty or Stamp Me

Digital stamp cards, $25–$95/mo, live in an afternoon. No CRM, no SMS, no segmentation — fine for a coffee cart, thin for a store whose customers are worth four figures a year.

If you're already all-in on Square or Toast

Their bundled loyalty add-ons are convenient inside their ecosystems and invisible outside them. You trade features and branding for one bill — and you're locked to their processing either way.

If you're a brick-and-mortar store that wants the whole thing: Eco Systems CRM

This is us, so: pricing is published — $200/mo flat with 5,000 texts included, extra texts 2¢, one-time $500 setup that covers migration from TapMango (members, balances, consent records — our labor, not yours), no contracts. The counter runs a branded kiosk on any tablet you own; A2P registration is filed for you by a human; and the platform includes things point networks don't build: community events with RSVP and door check-in, a themed public website with a vendor directory, and a storefront rewards widget for your Shopify site. The full side-by-side is at Eco Systems vs TapMango.

Switching without losing your list

Whatever you pick: export your customer list, point balances, and opt-in records before your final billing cycle; confirm in writing that your consent records transfer (re-permissioning a list can legally require fresh opt-ins); and overlap platforms for two weeks so the kiosk swap is invisible to members. A good vendor does this migration for you. If the one you're evaluating won't, that tells you something too.
